Madison Marcotte

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker. During my studies at the Ohio State University, I gained experience working with children within medical and school settings. Since graduating with my Master of Social Work degree, I have continued to provide individual and group therapy to children and adults. I have therapeutic experience working with individuals with various needs, including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, conduct disorders, coping with chronic illness/pain, interpersonal/family conflict, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and adjustment/grief.

I approach every session from a strength-based perspective and because every individual I work with is unique, my style is flexible and collaborative. I use a variety of evidence-based strategies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).  To reinforce concepts discussed and to help build social skills in children, I also frequently incorporate bibliotherapy and play therapy techniques into sessions.
